The documentary and ethnographic film festival forumdoc.bh is now receiving applications for its 13th edition. It proposes to map, exhibit and give away films and videos of various exhibition formats and length that have been produced in the last two years (2008-2009). Documentaries of any features can apply.
forumdoc.bh is an yearly film festival that takes place in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. A miscellaneous prospect of audiovisual productions from various countries is presented, which includes the exhibition of classic and contemporary films. Carried out in association with Filmes de Quintal and the Federal University of Minas Gerais, the festival outstanding selection of titles promote forums for discussion with filmmakers and specialists about works that investigate audiovisual sources in order to build a dialog with social life and cultural diversity. forumdoc.bh’s goings-on take place in Cine Humberto Mauro (at Palácio das Artes) also in some county schools and public spots, thus diversifying and increasing its audience. No fees are charged.
